Network Support Engineer

The primary responsibility of Network Support Engineers is to provide a service to internal clients to ensure that the IT infrastructure and systems remain operational through proactively identifying, investigating and resolving technical incidents and problems and to restore service to end users by managing incidents to resolution. The Network Support Engineer focuses on second line support for medium complexity incidents, requests, events and problems.

Responsibilities

  • Resolving incidents
  • Implementation of simple changes
  • Implementation of standard service requests
  • Ticket forwarding to appropriate resolver group
  • Acceptance of requests by phone and opening ticket for correct resolution
  • Automated deployment of configurations via existing scripts
  • Updating documentation
  • Implementation of complex service requests
  • Root cause analysis
  • Problem management

Requirements

  • CCNP certification
  • Working experience from networking support (routing and switching)
  • Experience in configuration and troubleshooting, LAN & WAN environment
  • Experience with Cisco devices
  • English - written and spoken
